This Cabernet Merlot is a fresh, easy-drinking young red, offering lifted aromas of blackberries and cassis on the nose with sweet French oak undertones. The Cabernet creates a well balanced tannin framework and the Merlot filling out and softening the mid-palate. Ripe fruit flavours finish with good length demanding another glass. This Italian family have six generations of winemaking experience, while the Casella family winery was founded in 1965.
