Description: A deep, vibrant ruby colour displaying fresh crimson edges and a fragrant nose of sweet, ripe mulberry and plum with a whisper of oak. These aromas follow through to the palate joined by soft flavours of cherry. This elegant wine has a refreshing acidity on the front palate and finishes with a luscious, lingering rush of mulberry and gentle tannin grip. Can be enjoyed young but will also benefit from cellaring for 3 to 4 years. In spite of small quantities and limited releases in its early years this variety has carved out a strong following amongst wine lovers who have fallen for its flavour, elegance and versatility as an accompaniment to a wide range of Mediterranean inspired dishes. The grapes are sourced from Brown Brother's Milawa vineyard and harvested in parcels during April at a range of baumé levels from 13.5 to 14 degrees.
