La Brancaia TRE Rosso di Toscana IGT
Description: Podere Brancaia has been owned by the Swiss couple Brigitte and Bruno Widmer since 1981. It is located in the heart of the Chianti Classico area and in recent years Brancaia has won many international awards. The Brancaia estate encompasses the vineyards Brancaia and Poppi , at between 750 and 1300 feet above sea level. All vineyards have hillside location, looking south, southwest or southeast. Tre is a blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet. The grapes a carefully selected from the three estates Brancaia , Poppi and Brancaia in Maremma . The grapes are harvested by hand and matured 12 months in French Oak barrels and a further 2 months in the bottle. TRE is a wine full of character giving you drinking enjoyment already at young age. The wines are full-bodied, with complex flavours, a good structure and a high dry extract complemented by a great finish. (12 x 75 cl)
