La Cave Du Vin Blanc De Morgex et De La Salle CHAUDE LUNE VIN DE GLACE Vallee D'Aosta
Description: The region of Valle d'Aosta has an ancient history of winemaking, even though the steep mountain slopes and harsh, cold climate might suggest otherwise. Historically however, wine production from the region was confined to individual 'backyard vineyards' of usually no more than 2,500 square meters. In 1983, thanks in part to the efforts of the region's local government, these efforts were officially acknowledged and the Cooperative estate, Cave du Vin Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle, was born. This cooperative took control of its newly built winery, well-equipped with all the technology needed to produce high-quality fine wines and began producing the region's traditional wine varieties. The local growers of the co-op are for the most part retired persons who tend their vines as they would a garden, following specific guidelines set up by the cooperative itself. Today the Cave du Vin Blanc de Morgex et de La Salle produces over 140,000 bottles annually of 5 different traditional Valle D'Aosta wines. This unfailing commitment to the Valle D'Aosta wine-making has literally saved the region's history and culture from extinction, making these beautiful wines, and a part of Valle D'Aosta's culture. Available in 50 cl bottles. (12 x 50 cl)
