Philip Iles and family moved to the sleepy village of Villenave de Rions in 1998. In doing so he realised a dream, as he now owned his own vineyard. Three years on he is making some of the Premiere Cotes de Bordeaux most exciting wines. They are certainly at the cutting edge of the New Wave of Bordeaux wines; New World attention to fruit but still a respect for the best of the Old World traditions and terroir is proving to be an effective formula in both the Lezongars and de Roques ranges. The second Wine of Chateau Lezongars this is an attractive blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon and is a deep cherry red coloured wine with rich plum fruit and spice flavours. The ripe tannins make this a full flavoured wine showing a smooth and well rounded finish. Available in Half Bottles. (24 x 37.5 cl)

This wine is a blend of 60% Merlot, 38% Cabernet Sauvignon and 2% Cabernet Franc, it is showing good fruit flavours from the nose to the palate.
