Chateau Roslane Blanc Premier Cru Les Coteaux De L’Atlas AOC Morocco
Description: Les Celliers de Meknes's Chateau Roslane blanc is a Chardonnay from Morocco's first controlled appellation. Extremely well suited for growing the lime-rich clay soils encourage vines to grow deep roots in order to find nourishment. As a result, the dry siliceous sub soil participates in the elaboration of a very harmonious wine. Additionally, the climatic influences of the Atlas mountains on the slopes where the vineyards are found include low rainfall that provides Les Coteaux de l'Atlas an ideal and unique situation in Morocco for growing great grapes. The harvest carried out in August, is done entirely by hand where the fruit are gathered in 18 kg-cases before being stored on arrival. Once in the winery fermentation 70% vinified in French new barrels with stirring of lees, while 30% vinified traditionally in thermo-regulated stainless ferments takes place. Finally, the wine is aged 4 months in French new barrels and more than one year in laid bottles. (12 x 75 cl)
