Description:
The wine, a blend of Shiraz, Aragonez, Trincadeira and Alicante Bouschet, shows the typical rich fruit characters and generous palate to be expected from a hot year. It is soft enough for early drinking but has enough quality tannins and structure for ageing and improvement in the bottle. Deep, dense opaque red colour with complex, spicy aromas of earth and perfumed cherry and plum fruits. On the palate it is smooth and succulent showing ripe, supple fruit flavours with some chocolate notes. Good mouth feel, with excellent balance, the firm tannins providing structure and a good finish to the sweet, fruit driven palate. (6 x 75 cl)

Description: This red is from Vinho Regional Algarvio in Portugal is made from 100% Syrah grapes in selected blocks of the SirCliffRichard vineyard. Once in the winery great care and attention to detail is undertaken to produce this wine that spends 12 months in a mix of Stainless steel and French and American oak barrels. The result is an easy drinking red showing an impressive deep, dark red colour, almost opaque in the middle and a spicy, gamey bouquet, with ripe red berry fruits, and nuances of mocha, tobacco and mint. A soft, sweet supple palate with savoury fruit notes are evident while the good concentration and body are seamlessly integrated with the oak as this nicely structured wine culminates in a long firm finish. Adega do Cantor is the winery co-owned by SirCliffRichard. Since embarking upon this highly ambitious venture just five years ago, the wines are now showing amazing poise and finesse as well as concentration. (6 x 75 cl) Price: £54.18
