Description:
Bright straw colour. Floral, tropical fruits and hints of mineral character. Very dry, balanced acidity, round and well structured, with good fruit on the palate. Avesso, Chardonnay & Gewurztraminer. Fermented and aged in stainless steel vats, to preserve fruit character. Quinta do Covela has been in existence since the 16th Century. The schistous slopes of the Port area give way to the granite soils of the Entre-Douro e Minho. These poor soils, excellent exposure, special microclimate and mix of grapes varieties all mean that Quinta do Covela has its own very specific terroir.
