Cascina Castlet AVIE' Moscato Passito
Description: Made from the partially dried grapes of the estate’s oldest Moscato vines, this is a rich dessert wine that retains all the delicious grapey sweetness and the perfume of the Muscat grape. Thanks to a unique combination of brilliantly innovative packing and exciting and rare styles, the wines of Cascina Castlet have quickly developed a cult following. Passum is their most famous wine, a Barbera made from partially dried grapes. Quantities are extremely limited and demand is high. Other notable wines include Litina, a cru Barbera d’Asti with considerable depth and concentration, and a sublimely scented Moscato d’Asti, as well as Avie, an intense Moscato passito (6 x 37.5 cl)

Pieropan PASSITO della ROCCA Veneto
Description: The Pieropan sweet wines are masterpieces. The Passito della Rocca is made from a blend of 2/3 Sauvignon and 1/3 Riesling Italico, dried until the middle of December and then fermented in barrique. The wine is voluptuous with flavours of apricots mingling with the honeyed fruit. If Nino Pieropan weren't a winemaker, he'd be a watchmaker, says Franco Allegrini, It is because of his attention to the small details of white wine making that his wines are so outstanding. Pieropan himself says that his quality derives from doing a series of small things right, from the moment you pick up the secateurs to the time the cork goes into the bottle. Pieropan's quality, rather unusually for a producer of white wines, is attributable largely to the work undertaken on the estate's 30 hectares of vineyard. He then ensures that his work in the cellar retains and amplifies the quality and style provided by the vineyard. (6 x 50 cl)
