The Cantina due Palme is situated in the Apolian town of Cellino San Marco in the centre of the Salento region of Southern Italy. Here, the hand picked Malvasia and Negroamaro grapes were vinified separately and transferred to French Oak. After ageing 9 months the wine was bottle aged a further 4 months before release. Dark and earthy in colour this wine is showing damsons and dark chocolate on the nose. Surprisingly soft and ripe on the palate with layered black fruit and structured tannins this wine is complemented by its enjoyable finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Le Due Terre SACRISASSI Rosso Colli Orientali del Friuli DOC
Description: Silvana Forte and Flavio Basilicata established the estate in 1984 with the idea of producing wines with both tradition and sense of terroir. They are a team that is committed to wines that flout traditional canons. Flavio started as a consultant winemaker in the late seventies, working mainly in the Colli Orientali del Friuli appellation and having a lot of experiences with both international and local grapes. Since the beginning, their main focus was to grow Refosco, Schioppettino and Tocai, classic varietals from the area and particularly well performing in the village of Prepotto where the estate is located. Le due terre means two soils: the two soils in question are marl and clay plots divided by the road in Prepotto. Flavio is a sort of avant-garde traditionalist. He wants to keep alive the varietals and the ancient methods but he's perfectly aware of the necessity of refinement and complexity required by today's wine drinkers. For him originality and terroir are a real challenge and his winemaking approach is simply, 'less is better'. That's why he prefers not to rack the wines if unnecessary, preferring the action of the lees and oxygen to any intrusive manipulation. This red blend from barrel is made entirely from regional grapes (6 x 75 cl)

Petaluma CROSER Sparkling Vintage Brut Adelaide Hills South Australia
Description: The aroma is of apples and faint strawberry with brioche and cream fermentation characters. The subtle fruit and freshness is due to the cool humid climate of the Piccadilly Valley as is the acid spine and savoury finish of the wine. The mineral elements in the aroma and the wet quartz finish are due to the old geology and soils of the Piccadilly Valley. The small beaded, creamy textured mousse of Croser is typical of the breed and is due to the substance in the special Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes from the Piccadilly Valley (6 x 75 cl)
