Good, meaty red berry fruit and some well-handled wood, toast and vanilla. Ripe, juicy, very expressive. Some mineral notes, plenty of layers of tannin and wood. Very well made and will last. Good quality grapes produce good quality wines and Frederic Mabileau is very serious about producing quality wines by simply having the best grapes possible.
