As a native of Piacenza, Valentino Migliorini was unconstrained by Langhe traditions when creating his state of the art cellar in Monforte. The estate is now one of the largest in Barolo, with 40 hectares owned and another 20 rented on a long-term basis, all in the commune of Monforte. Valentino’s pioneering spirit lead to his most famous creation: Bricco Manzoni, the barrique-aged blend of Nebbiolo and Barbera that have inspired many imitations.
