Osoyoos Larose Okanagan Valley Red British Columbia Canada Description: The Osoyoos Larose is deep in colour and fresh and scented on the nose. A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, malbec and petit verdot, it is elegant, yet concentrated on the palate, with flavours of plum and cassis. It has weight and power but also style, elegance, complexity and great finesse. Osoyoos Larose is the result of a joint venture between Chateau Gruaud Larose and Vincor, the owners of Inniskillin. The vineyards are situated in the southern part of the Okanagan Valley, on the shores of Lake Osoyoos. The proximity to the lake mitigates the very warm temperatures in the near desert conditions of the Okanagan. The vineyards were first planted in 1999, since when the project has been overseen by Bordeaux-based viticulturalist Alain Sutre.
