Chateau Prieure-Lichine LE BLANC DU CHATEAU PRIEURE-LICHINE Bordeaux
Description: Made from Sauvignon Balnc and Semillon, this is a fruity and acidic wine with notes of fresh herbs, mushroom and thirst quenching citrus fruits. This is truly a voluptuous wine. Originally part of the vineyards of the Benedictine Priory on Cantenac, and in fact, the chais at Prieure still contain part of its original structure dating from the 16th century. Ownership changed several times after the Revolution until the estate was bought in 1951 by the late wine authority, Alexis Lichine. From that time, M. Lichine expanded the vineyards and completely renovated the chais and the chateau itself. The estate was owned by Alexis' son, Sacha until June of 1999 when it was sold to the Ballande company. (6 x 75 cl)

Domaine de la Vougeraie BEL AIR Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru
Description: Over 100 years ago one would hear talk of the Chateau Bel Air, standing dominant over the Grand Crus. The name Bel Air signifies an area where the air was purer than elsewhere. However, for the first 680 years of this vineyard's history, it was tended by the monks of Citeaux, who planted the Clos de Vougeot and the majority of the neighbouring plots at the start of the 12th century. The Clos du Prieure, like the rest, was sold off at the end of the 18th century under the French Revolution. Located in the climate known as Le Village, it is separated from the neighbouring vines by a small track to the west and a stream to the East, the Vouge, which gave its name to the village and to this Domaine. This was the first Domaine de la Vougeraie vineyard back in 1966. Its name derives from Les Brosselles, which meant a patch of scrubland. This climate is ideally located on the wildest, most unpretentious part of the village. The vines are on a steep east-south-east slope, with just the right degree of calcareous soil, a dream plot. At 350m and 15km south of Dijon, this parcel located in Gevrey-Chambertin, is right at the heart of the Cote de Nuits. It nestles between two prestigious cousins
