The different types of soil and the varied climate means that rich, powerful and complex wines are created. A pale yellow coloured wine with a light, soft, exotic fruit salad nose. Les Sorcieres refers to the part of the Domaines du Chateau de Riquewihr planted with Gewurztraminer. Local legend has it that this is where Witches were burned during the Middle Ages. A Golden yellow coloured wine, it displays subtle, elegant Gewurztraminer aromas. Delicate spice and fruity, this wine is enhanced by hints of smoke and a dash of pepper while developing fragrances of violets, apricots, tropical fruit and roses. Its scents are reflected in the flavours, sustained by hints of ultra-ripe grapes. Supple and fresh, this is a fruity, rich, highly expressive wine with an impressive structure.
