Description:
Philippe Faury took over the family estate in 1979, which at that time comprised 2.5 hectares. Since then he has increased that figure to 11 hectares, spread over the appellations of Cote Rotie, Condrieu, St. Joseph Rouge and St. Joseph Blanc. Most of his wines are sold in France and we consider ourselves very fortunate indeed to have secured a small allocation of his very pure and elegant wines. His St. Joseph La Gloriette comes from 35-year-old vines, and after a fourteen-day maceration and subsequent fermentation, the wine matures in a mixture of demi-muids and smaller barrels, 10% of which are new (12 x 75 cl)
