Description:
The Zorzettig family own the La Tunella 65 hectare vineyard in Ipplis, at the heart of the Colli Orientali, where 8 hectares of Merlot are planted to make this wine. The grapes are harvested by hand in early October where the best grapes are selected and given extended fermentation time in Stainless steel tanks and French Oak. After the appropriate decantations, the wine is allowed to rest for the entire spring-summer season and bottled in early June. Characteristic bouquet, sweet and gentle with hints of plum jam, tobacco, hay and coffee. To the taste this 100% Merlot is dry and mellow, savory, harmonious with fruity flavours of blackberries and plums. The varietal fruit flavoured scents clearly emerge and perfectly blend with the aromas imparted to it by the French oak in which this Merlot matured. (12 x 75 cl)
