Located in the Loire Valley 200 km south of Paris, the Domaine Laporte Sancerre vineyards cover approximately 2,300 ha . Domaine Laporte sits on the edge of a valley known as La Cassure de Sancerre. This unique geological formation is divided into two distinct soil types: limestone hills on one side of the valley, flint hills on the opposite side. Grapes grown on each of these different soils are vinified according to the kind of soil. This careful respect for soil typicity gives each wine an individual expression and personality. La Terre des Anges is a 10 hectare slope, unique in the region of Sancerre. Soaking up the heat in the daytime, the flint rocks of the vineyard slowly cool in the night. This Sauvignon Blanc wine is aged in the barrel 2-3 years depending on the vintage and has produced a perfect balance of roundness and freshness in this complex wine. A classic Sauvignon (12 x 75 cl)

Domaine du Rochoy Sancerre
Description: Founded in 1850 in the heart of the prestigious Sancerre appellation, Domaine Laporte is renowned for its quality. Located in the Loire Valley 200 km south of Paris, the Domaine Laporte Sancerre vineyards cover approximately 2,300 ha . Domaine du Rochoy is a 10 hectare slope, unique in the region of Sancerre. Soaking up the heat in the daytime, the flint rocks of the vineyard slowly cool in the night. After racking at low temperature, the wine ferments during 10 days in stainless steel tanks at temperatures ranging from 15º to 20ºC . Neither yeasting nor malolactic fermentation is employed. The wine is matured on its fine lees for 5 months and is then vacuum-bottled . Only high quality natural corks are used. The wine undergoes an additional maturation of at least one month in the bottle. Undergoing the vinification process has helped the grapes to ripen more quickly and results in the production of a rich, well-balanced white Sancerre with a fine flinty tang. (12 x 75 cl)
