Manciat Poncet is a 12-hectare domaine split between the appellations of Macon and Pouilly Fuisse. The Manciat Poncets, who owns the domaine, believe that great wine is born in the vineyards and they work hard in they're immaculately kept vineyards. This wine maintains strict quality standards which include harvesting done entirely by hand and whole cluster pressing. Large temperature controlled tanks are used for fermentation and large oak barrels are used to age the wines for between 7 (6 x 75 cl)

While the work, and the work of their predecessors, is rewarded by the extraordinary quality of their wines, this is one of the top small domaines producing Pouilly Fuissé and Mâcon Charnay and the wines get high marks from virtually everybody. An oak aged Chardonnay exposed to a percentage of new barrels, while most is matured in seasoned, more neutral oak. This wine is elegant, with attractive minerality, balanced fruit and nice finish.
