Chateau Bouscasse Madiran Description: The history of winemaking in Madiran goes back to Gallo-Roman times. They have had the same soil for a period of 40,000 years! AlainBrumont started winemaking over twenty years ago with his father. Today he owns 10% of the total vineyards in Madiran.AlainBrumont took up the challenge of placing Madiran on the map of renowned wines. His defence of the Tannat grape is passionate while the rest of the world seems content with just a few well-known grape varieties. With tenacity, he took the best terroir of the region for the Tannat grape, which makes up the majority if not 100% of his blends. The excellence that AlainBrumont has achieved with his wines has been the result of observation, reflection and, ultimately for all great wines, a sacrifice of high yields.
