Since the company’s foundation in 1899 by the eponymous Piemontese partners, it has set the winegrowing standard for Sardinia. Investments in state of the art technology and vineyard management gives Sella & Mosca’s wines incredible consistency. The impressive structure of Sella & Mosca, with over 500 hectares of vineyards in the Alghero area of north-west Sardinia, makes them one of Europe’s largest wineries to produce exclusively form their own grapes. Only made in the best years similar to a medium dry sherry in style this wine is aged in 100 year old traditional chestnut oak for a minimum of five years. A deep yellow colour with amber reflections, this wine has an intense and ample bouquet reminiscent of almond blossom. The taste is dry and warm for this 100% Vernaccia that has a fine character and firm backbone that continue through to a long, nutty finish. (6 x 75 cl)
