Description: With the purchase in 1987 of the Val De Brun di Refrontolo estate situated in the heart of the wine growing areas of Conegliano and Valodbbiadene, the Polegato family wanted to create a refined selection of wines and sparkling wines bringing it to market with the tradename Astoria, bearing the same name as the Wine Firm of Antonini Ceresa. Intense ruby red coloured wine with hints of violet, the bouquet typicaly intense with aromas of red berry fruits. Rich, full bodied, yet supple with good structure this is a Merlot to enjoy.
