Franz Haas MOSCATO ROSA Montagna
Description: The Moscato Rosa from Franz Haas has a deep cherry pink colour. In youth, it has intense perfumes of roses and cloves which change into faded roses and redberry fruits with age. The wine is very complex and smooth on the palate. Moscato Rosa is best drunk as an aperitif or an after dinner wine and will improve with age. It is perhaps one of Italy’s most sought after sweet wines. The Moscato Rosa is vinified as a red wine, with maceration on the skins to extract more colour. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks and is stopped by reducing the temperature. After fermentation, it is racked into oak barrels where it matures for approximately 8-12 months depending on the vintage, followed by a period of six months in bottle before release. The Haas family have been growers in Montagna in the Province of Bolzano, Alto Adige for generations. It is only with Franz, however, the current proprietor, that they have begun to produce and bottle quality wines. The vineyards are primarily situated on and around the hilly slopes of Montagna at altitudes ranging from 250-800m above sea level. (12 x 37.5 cl) Price: £201.04

Bava BASS TUBA Moscato d'Asti Piedmont
Description: Tasting Light straw yellow color, with constant strings of fine bubbles. The fragrance is reinforced by the extraordinarily rich natural sugar content, perfectly balanced by the right degree of acidity. Vineyard/TerritoryGrapes cultivated in a single, historic vineyard in Castiglione Tinella. Wine Production The grapes are picked in wicker baskets, pressed and the must is kept at low temperatures. The wine is then bottled immediately after fermentation. We are enchanted by this extroverted, sunny Moscato, which we have called Bass Tuba ever since, back in the nineteen- eighties, we were the first to break with tradition and modernize the image then associated with Asti Spumante. Bottling it in a Bordeaux bottle normally utilized for an important red and a careful selection and reduction of vineyard yields, maniacally scrupulous cellar handling and bottle aging finished the job. Today, Bass Tuba is still a Cru and still provides full satisfaction, even in the new half-bottle format. A key feature is its low alcohol content, making it a wine everyone can drink, perfect for toasts on any occasion. It should always be stored and served well chilled. We are still convinced we have chosen the right instrument for the label, suggesting celebrations and rich band sounds, as distinctive as the aroma of Bava Moscato (12 x 37.5 cl) Price: £92.00

Blue Nun Merlot Vin de Pays d'Oc
Description: This high quality Merlot is made from grapes grown in Languedoc, where the Langguth Estates set the benchmark for the quality of the grapes used for this fine red wine.
