Adriano Ramos Pinto 1997 Vintage Port
Description: Color: Beautiful violet shades still opaque as the wine is in its first stages of maturation. Nose: Elegant floral notes with hints of rose and black cherry. Palate: Smooth, well-balanced attack. Robust tannins endow the wine with hints of ripe fruit, showing plenty of promise for good aging. Serving Suggestions: This wine is best served after standing upright for at least two hours and decanted. Best served with cheese at the end of a meal. The 1997 vintage is a wine of complete ripeness, good acidity, tannin and concentration. The growing season consisted of a sunny winter, adverse weather in spring, and favorable, sunny growing conditions in summer. While there were some weather difficulties, Ramos-Pinto fared well. The 1997 vintage will start to reach maturity in 10-15 years (12 x 75 cl)

Adriano Ramos Pinto 30 YEAR OLD Tawny Port
Description: The Ramos-Pinto 30-Year old Tawny is amber colored with orange and garnet tones. The delicate green highlights of the meniscus are characteristic of old cask-aged wines, and illustrate the quality and advanced age of this fine port. This complex, perfectly balanced port shows rich aromas of dried fruit and vanilla. Agitate the glass and spice aromas of cinnamon and cocoa are liberated. In the mouth, the attack is fresh, fine and delicate. Ripe, dried fruit softly merges with almond and hazelnut, culminating in vanilla flavors which linger gracefully on the palate. Made from Ramos-Pinto's estate vineyards in the best production zones of the Delimited Douro Region, the 30-Year Tawny is a blend of wines that have been aging in oak for an average of three decades in the winery's cellars in Vila Nova de Gaia. Porto Vintage 1991 To describe a vintage means, first of all, to refer to the vegetative cycle and the conditions of the growing season. 1991 was a good year, neither too dry nor too humid. The vineyards matured without great effort, but fromt he last 15 days of July till mid-August, high temperatures caused some damage in maturation. However, the overall favorable weather contributed to the grapes' excellent aspect, and conditions were perfect at harvest time. The must was thin and aromatic, with an intense color that told us we were in the presence of an excellent wine. The same opinion was felt throughout the Duoro, as most port houses did declare a vintage 1991 Winemakers Notes: Appellation: Porto Origin: Exclusively from Ramos-Pinto quintas: 80% from Ervamoira , where the mature grapes provide excellent structure, and 20% from Bom Retiro , providing aroma and finesse.
