Preece Chardonnay Victoria Australia
Description: Tasting Note Lively, fresh Chardonnay with intense peach, nectarine and lime flavours enriched with a dash of vanilla and a hint of creamed coconut on the finish. 14.4%. The whole Preece range is absolutely flying at the moment; winemaker Toby Barlow is at the top of his game with a network of great grape growers across Victoria providing him with some top quality fruit to play with. The key aspect of the Preece wines is the cool climate nature of the vineyards that provides ripe fruit with impeccable balance and freshness. This Chardonnay is a great example with enough richness and fruit to match dishes with creamy, buttery sauces but the sort of zip and zest that makes it a delicious, refreshing glass just on its own. Producer Profile Made at the Mitchelton winery in Victoria , the Preece wines take their name from Australian wine legend Colin Preece who was one of the first to spot and cultivate Victoria's potential for winemaking back in the early 1970s. The wines are made with all the care and attention to detail you'd expect of winemaker Toby Barlow and his team and reflect Victoria's cooler climate with an elegant, approachable style in contrast to the bigger blockbuster wines from elsewhere in Oz. (6 x 75 cl)
