The Boullault family estate, established in 1930, is located just outside Vallet in the heart of Muscadet Sevre de Maine. Over 40 years ago, Leon Boullault took the revolutionary step to convert his family's vineyards to organic farming. The results of this wise decision are in the intensely clean, vivid fruit flavours of his wines. Great care is taken not only in the vineyard but also the winery where this wine is barrel-fermented and spends time on the lees of its own fermentation with frequent battonage then bottled before release. A zesty nose full of white fruit flavours including apple and apricot as well as a little minerality. The aromas develop on the palate with good acidity and balance before a crisp finish.
