Winecorp Spier DISCOVER Pinotage RSA
Description: Winecorp was established in 1999 through the merging of three of South Africa's foremost wineries: the pioneering Spier, the boutique Longridge and the entrepreneurial Savanha. The key feature of Spier's winemaking philosophy is its dedication to making wines of the highest quality, across all its ranges. Its large modern custom-built winery is designed to enable Frans Smit's winemaking team to make great terroir-specific wines. Spier's dedicated viticulture team supervises its own and managed vineyards that are situated in the prime wine-growing areas of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Darling on the West Coast. The Spier winery then processes fruit from Spier's own vines and from other carefully selected vineyards. Trellised, 8-year-old vines, planted on east-facing slopes yielded the grapes for this plum red coloured wine. Aromas of mint, cherry and spice follow through on the palate and are supported by soft, gentle tannins. (12 x 75 cl)

Winecorp Spier DISCOVER Chardonnay RSA
First, the grapes are de-stemmed and crushed straight into fermentation tanks. Next, cold maceration takes place for two days and the juice is fermented in small stainless steel tanks. The vinification procedure is conducted with great care, the extraction of colour and flavour is long and soft and the temperature of the process is controlled with precision. The wines are then transferred to 225l barrels for malolactic fermentation, of which 45% are new barrels. Finally, the wines are fined with egg white before bottling. Pale Yellow coloured Chardonnay with good acid balance and a long satisfying finish. (12 x 75 cl)

Bleasdale Vineyards Shiraz Cabernet Sauvignon Langhorne Creek Australia
Description: Produced by Australia's second oldest family of winemakers, the Potts family, in Langhorne Creek near Adelaide. The cooler climate here ensures a ripe yet restrained and characterful red. Blending Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon together is classically Australian and this wine is a great example of how these two varieties complement each other so well. Comprising 51% Shiraz and 49% Cabernet Sauvignon the wine displays rich ripe plummy, berry and spice characters from the Shiraz complemented with fragrant herb and mint flavours from the Cabernet.
