Maison Bouachon LA ROUVIERE Tavel Rose
Description: The Bouachon family have maintained their stewardship of some of the finest wines in the Rhone since 1898. La Rouviere, the Tavel in Maison Bouachon's collection, has made its mark as one of the most outstanding representatives of the appellation and is the only one authorised to produce rosé exclusively. Light, filtered soils rich in limestone are characteristic of the vineyards of Tavel which, with the help of the Mistral and the sun, constitute an ideal terroir for the production of rosé wines. Four grape varieties making-up La Rouviere the Grenache grape dominates the blend with Syrah, Cinsault and a little Clairette. The grapes are hand-picked and rigorously sorted to produce a wine with an elegant rosé and glints of amber colour. A highly expressive bouquet, both fruity and floral, slightly spiced, with notes of blackberry and redcurrant is evident. This has produced a wine with a well-balanced sensation on the palate, fleshy and dense, with hints of spice. (6 x 75 cl) Price: £75.72
