The Royal Tokaji Wine Company was established in 1989 and the 1st vintage was produced in 1990. Over 50% of the company's vineyards are classified as 1st or 2nd Growths and production is limited to wines with 4 puttonyos and above. It pioneered the production of single vineyard wines and its major role in Tokaji`s renaissance is now widely recognised. The Royal Tokaji Wine Co Essencia 1993 vintage is a deep burnished gold colour, remarkably full bodied and luxuriously sweet showing excellent balance and structure. Tempting kumquat, orange and caramel are evident with generous hints of white chocolate and toasted bread. Fresh and long the wine is drinking very nicely now and should cellar well until 2012. Available in 50 cl bottles but Availability is limited.
