On the palate it is a medium bodied wine with clean, fresh, soft ripe tannins and a fresh finish. This wine is sourced from the Doña Elsa Estate which is situated in Ram Caída, SanRafael,Mendoza at 750 metres above sea level. Rama Caída is among the coolest areas of SanRafael, with sandy calcareous soil of alluvial origin. The Bianchi family winery was founded in 1928 by Italian immigrant ValentinBianchi and now covers 350 hectares of vineyard. It is run by the third generation, headed by Enzo Bianchi. The grapes were hand-picked and crushed before fermentation in temperature-controlled tanks. It is Intense black-red in colour, with perfumes of cassis and chocolate on the nose giving way to a robust but nicely balanced palate. Rounded ripe fruit with flavours of blackcurrants and blackberries are supported by soft, ripe tannins.
