Viu Manent Chardonnay Colchagua Valley Chile
Description: TASTING NOTES This elegant wine shows lifted notes of fig, pear, melon and apricot backed by just a hint of toasty oak. In the mouth it is full bodied with a fresh, zesty acidity leading to a long, creamy finish. Oak 25% of the blend was aged for 4 months in barrels with monthly lees stirring. Vineyard San Carlos , located near the town of Cunaco , Colchagua Valley . Sourced from Chardonnay blocks with an average age of 12 to 14 years. Grape Variety Chardonnay 100% Harvest Machine harvested between the 4th to 10th of March, following a cooler than average growing season . All harvesting was carried out at night in order to keep fruit temperature to a minimum and thus minimise the potential for juice oxidation. Winemaking The grapes were initially crushed to a maceration tank and held at 10 º to 12ºC for 12 hours in order to to extract the aromas and flavours contained in the skin. 75% of the juice was then cold settled for three days followed by racking and cool fermentation in stainless steel with selected yeasts. The remaining 25% of juice was run to barrel with minimal settling and fermented with wild and selected yeasts with temperatures peaking at 20-22 º C. Following this the wine was matured on gross lees for 4 months before the blend was assembled, cold and protein stabilised and then filtered and bottled. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: TASTING NOTES Deep violet in colour, on the nose this wine exhibits classic Merlot notes of blackberry, rum and raisen and black cherry. In the mouth flavours of plum, chocolate and fragrant herbs are backed up by soft, supple tannins and a fresh acidity leading to a long elegant finish. Oak 30 % of the blend was matured for 7 months in second and third use French barrels. Grape variety Merlot 100% Vineyard El Olivar, located near the town of Peralillo , Colchagua Valley . Description: TASTING NOTES Intensely violet in colour, on the nose this wine exhibits classic Malbec notes of blueberry, black cherry and violets. In the mouth lush flavours of freshly picked boysenberry, raspberry and blackberry give way to notes of chocolate and mocha. Fresh acidity and soft tannins combine to give a long, elegant finish. Oak 25% of the blend was matured for 5 months in second and third use American oak barrels. Vineyard Sourced from our San Carlos and El Olivar Estates, bot located in the Colchagua Valley . Harvested from Malbec vines with an average age of 6 to 8 years. Grape variety Malbec 100% Winemaking TechniquesThe fruit was destemmed and crushed to tank with the fermentation being carried out by selected yeasts with temperatures peaking betwee 28ºC and 30ºC . Each tank was given 2 pumpovers daily during fermentation and received a 1 week post fermentation maceration before being pressed off followed by a natural malolactic fermentation in tank. This wine was then partly barrel aged with the remainder being matured in stainless steel. The blend was then assembled from tank and barrel components before being lightly filtered and bottled. Description: TASTING NOTES Deep purple in colour, on the nose this wine delivers a classic Carménère nose of spice, black cherry and mocha. In the mouth notes of boysenberry, cassis, black tea and fragrant herbs combine beautifully leading to a long finish backed by soft, supple tannins. Oak 25% of the blend was matured for 7 months in second and third use French and American oak barrels. Winemaking The fruit was destemmed and crushed to tank wth the fermentation being carried out by selected yeasts with temperatures peaking between 28ºC and 30ºC . Each tank was given 2 pumpovers daily during fermentation and received a 1 week post fermentation maceration before being pressed off followed by a natural malolactic fermentation in tank. This wine was then partly barrel aged with the remainder being matured in stainless steel. The blend was then assembled from tank and barrel components before being lightly filtered and bottled. Vineyard La Capilla, located in Colchagua Valley . Sourced from Carménère blocks with an average age of 16 years. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: Intense notes of pear and lychee dominate on the nose leading to pure flavours of white peach and nectarine in the mouth. A bright, zesty acidity imparts excellent structure and length. Vineyard San Carlos , located near the town of Cunaco , Colchagua Valley . Sourced from Sauvignon blanc blocks with an average age of 12 to 14 years. Vineyard Management Planting density of 3.623 vines/hectare, trained to vertical shoot positioned canopy and cane pruned. Canopy trimming is carried out once in early spring and again at the beginning summer. Leaf plucking is carried out by hand at the beginning of March in order to increase bunch exposure. Harvest Machine harvested from February 17th to 28th, all harvesting was carried out at night in order to keep fruit temperature to a minimum and thus minimise the potential for juice oxidation. Winemaking Techniques The grapes were initially crushed to a maceration tank and held at 8ºC to 10ºC for 24 hours in order to extract the aromas and flavours contained in the skin. The juice was then drained and cold settled for three days followed by racking and cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts. Following this the wine was matured on light lees for six weeks before the blend was assembled, cold and protein stabilised and then filtered and bottled. Oak None. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: TASTING NOTES On the nose this wine displays lifted notes of ripe quince and pear. This is followed in the mouth by layers of fijoa, papaya and lemon-merengue pie over a bright, racy acidity imparting impressive structure and length. Grape Variety Viognier 85% and 15% other undisclosed varieties. Oak No oak Vineyard San Carlos, Cunaco, Colchagua Valley. Sourced from blocks with an average age of 8 years. Winemaking Techniques The grapes were whole bunch pressed to tank and the juice cold settled for four days to remove solids. The juice was then racked and fermented in stainless steel tanks with selected yeasts at low temperatures . After the primary fermentation the wine was aged on it's gross lees for 3 months to add complexity and texture prior to bottling. (12 x 75 cl)

Viu Manent Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Colchagua Valley Chile
Description: TASTING NOTES Deep ruby red in colour, on the nose this wine exhibits lifted notes of blackcurrant, fig and date. In the mouth opulent notes of plum, dark chocolate and espresso bean dominate. A well integrated oak backbone backed by firm yet round tannins leads to a long finish. Oak 100% of the blend was matured for 16 months in French oak barrels. Winemaking Techniques Fruit was hand harvested before being destemmed and crushed to tank. The must was then given a 5 day cold soak at 10-12 º C in order to increase aroma extraction. The must was heated and inoculated with selected yeasts with temperatures peaking between 28 and 30 º C during the fermentation. Two pumpovers were carried out daily during fermentation follwed by a 2 week post fermentation maceration before pressing. A natural malolactic fermentation which started in tank was completed in barrel. The wine was then barrel aged for 16 months before being racked to tank, lightly filtered and bottled. Vineyard San Carlos, located near the town of Cunaco , Colchagua Valley . Sourced from Cabernet Sauvignon blocks with an average age of 50+ years. (12 x 75 cl)

Description: In 1981 we planted some Chardonnay vines in a single vineyard of our estate in Treiso, replacing an old vineyard of Barbaresco. Since 1985 we produce with these Chardonnay grapes a limited quantity of barrel fermented Chardonnay called Piodilei. We wanted to keep the quantity of this wine very small and in the meantime we wish to give the chance to a wider number of consumers to enjoy our Chardonnay. In September 1993 we decided to ferment in stainless-steel tanks a part of our Chardonnay: the results was a fresh and vibrant wine with evident hints of ripe fruits. After some experiments we noted that adding to this wine a 25% of the same Chardonnay fermented and aged in new oak barrels, we reached an interesting wine spicy taste and persistent after-taste. So that we decided to create a new Chardonnay, with more pronounced fruity character but slightly lighter style. L'Altro in italian means (12 x 75 cl)

Description: TASTING NOTES Lemony, zesty tones from the Chardonnay, while the Viognier provides the aromas of dried peaches and apricots on the nose. An explosion of tropical flavours on the palate with a great zippy freshness and a lingering finish. VINEYARD: Selected Chardonnay vineyards in the Robertson area and the Viognier hails from Ladismith in the Klein Karoo. CELLAR TREATMENT: The two varieties were fermented separately. A small percentage of Chardonnay was fermented in staved stainless steel tanks to generate an added dimension of richness. The balance of the Chardonnay and all of the Viognier was barrel fermented in new and 2 nd fill French oak barrels. No malolactic fermentation took place. After fermentation the Chardonnay and Viognier was blended and went through protein- and cold stabilization. (12 x 75 cl)
