Description: The Eaglehawk Merlot is a vibrant red colour with fantastic cherry/berry aromas. The palate is typically soft with berry and plum flavours throughout making this a very easy drinking wine and an ideal partner with food. Viticulture Fruit was sourced from the company’s own vineyards and selected contract growers in premium vineyard districts in South Eastern Australia. Winemaking Merlot fruit was machine harvested throughout the night in the cooler temperatures and transported to the Wolf Blass winery in the Barossa Valley. The wine is fermented in stainless steel prior to a brief period of American oak maturation. (12 x 75 cl)

Wolf Blass PRESIDENTS SELECTION Shiraz South Australia
Description: The Wolf Blass Presidents Selection SA Shiraz is a dark red in colour with purple hues. Intense aromas of spiced fruit, chocolate oak characters with a hint of varietal pepper. These characters are again evident on the rich and full-bodied palate with sweet fruit and excellent structure. The finish is long and lingering with an added texture from fine-grained tannins. Cellaring: Enjoy over the next 10 years Viticulture: The fruit was sourced from some of the oldest, low yielding shiraz vineyards in South Australia. The Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale and Langhorne Creek are renowned for their quality and suitability to this variety. Winemaking: After crushing and de-stemming, fermentation was commenced in traditional open top fermenters before being transferred to new and seasoned American and French oak hogsheads to complete fermentation. The wine then remained in this oak for a further 16 months maturation. The Wolf Blass Presidents Selection Shiraz has been made in the traditional classic shiraz mould to ensure the wine is rich, soft and approachable in its youth. Description: The Eaglehawk Cabernet Sauvignon displays attractive spice, mint and berry fruit aromas with a hint of supporting oak. The palate is rich with varietal flavours of blackcurrant and mint, with a soft lingering finish. VITICULTURE Fruit was sourced from the company’s own vineyards and selected contract growers in premium vineyard districts in South Eastern Australia. WINEMAKING The fruit is crushed and destemmed prior to fermentation. Wolf Blass EAGLEHAWK Semillon Chardonnay South Eastern Australia
Description: Eaglehawk Semillon Chardonnay is a youthful, vibrant light yellow in colour. On the nose, citrus and grassy notes typical of the Semillon are evident, with the Chardonnay contributing rich, peach, melon and tropical flavours. The palate is well balanced with lively varietal fruit flavours and a crisp refreshing finish. VITICULTURE Semillon and Chardonnay fruit has been sourced from premium winegrowing regions throughout South Eastern Australia for this wine. Fruit has been selected for its varietal flavours and structure to create this fresh, crisp easy drinking style. WINEMAKING Separate parcels of Semillon and Chardonnay were crushed and the juice chilled and settled to retain varietal flavour. The juice was then transferred to temperate controlled fermenting tanks. Following fermentation the winemaker reviewed the parcels of wine before blending. The final blend was bottled early to capture the fresh fruit flavours. (12 x 75 cl)

Wolf Blass EAGLEHAWK Chardonnay South Eastern Australia
Description: The Eaglehawk Chardonnay is mid straw in colour with a vibrant youthful hue. The bouquet is typical of Australian chardonnay with tropical melon and peach characters and subtle oak integration. The palate is medium weight with rich fruit flavours and a backbone of supporting oak. The finish is crisp, dry and refreshing. Winemaker: David Tierney Suggested food: Chicken and mushroom risotto Cellaring: Drinking very well now and can be cellared for up to three years. Viticulture: Cool to mild weather leading up to the 2002 vintage produced ideal ripening conditions. 100% Chardonnay fruit was sourced from a range of vineyard sites in the premium wine growing regions of South Eastern Australia. Vinification: Following crushing, the wine was cool fermented to retain the fresh fruit flavours. Traditional winemaking techniques including stirring on yeast lees and malolactic fermentation were used on small parcels to further enhance these flavours and add a greater complexity and creamy mouthfeel. The wine was oak matured in American oak for a short time to complete the palate weight and mouthfeel. (12 x 75 cl)

Wolf Blass GREY LABEL Shiraz South Australia
Description: The Grey Label Barossa/Clare/McLaren Vale Shiraz is rich deep crimson in the glass. Aromas of rich berry are given complexity by hints of pepper, spice and dark chocolate. The palate displays well-integrated fruit with soft tannins, a subtle touch of oak and a long, seamless finish. VITICULTURE The fruit for this wine was sourced from premium Shiraz vineyards in South Australia. Constant contact with Barossa, Clare Valley and McLaren Vale growers ensured that the fruit was carefully maintained to produce rich fruit bursting with flavour and varietal character. The range of vineyards and regions provided our winemaking team with many blending options. The Clare Valley fruit was rich and elegant with a tight minerally fragrance, the Barossa fruit added depth and richness to the palate and the McLaren Vale fruit was bursting with ripe, rich berry characters. The different regional fruit attributes complemented each other to produce a wine of great complexity. WINEMAKING Following crushing the wine was left to ferment on the skins for between five to seven days, allowing for the optimum release of colour and flavour. This technique maximised the intensity of fruit flavour without extracting excessive tannins to ensure that this wine is approachable in its youth, a hallmark of Wolf Blass wines. Individual parcels completed fermentation in new American and French oak. After racking the wine was returned to the original American and French oak barrels for 18 months maturation. After maturation our winemaking team carefully assessed each parcel before blending and bottling. CELLARING This wine displays rich fruit flavours in its youth and has been carefully blended to ensure soft tannins and drinkability. It will develop more aged characters over the next 10 years if carefully cellared. (6 x 75 cl)
